1 cup of oats
1 cup of flour
½ cup of oil
1½ cups chopped nuts (Optional)
½ cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Mix together all ingredients and then spoon out on a greased baking sheet. Cook for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and chow down! Or in my case, I grab a glass of cold milk and eat them right out of the oven so they chocolate is still super melty!
I received this recipe from a coworker of mine who is a Holistic Nutritionist. Check out her website (here). There are tons of health conscious recipes and overall good info. She also made them for our office Thanksgiving celebration.

ReplyDeleteTip: For an even healthier version replace the oil with unsweetned applesauce and maple syrup with mashed ripe banana. Less calories means you can enjoy more of them. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have heard that suggestion about the applesauce, but I am nervous to try it. I am wondering what the consistency would be like for this recipe using applesauce. I may have to try it out soon.
ReplyDeleteThey are more moist when you use applesauce. I do it all the time.
