Inspite of Everything be Grateful
So as you know this past weekend Hurricane Irene, swept through the East Coast. Although some states have had their share of Hurricanes, New York has not experienced a hurricane in quite some time. So if you attempted to go to the grocery store this past week, you already know how crowded they were, and in most cases how empty the shelves were.
Most people prepared for the worst, not knowing exactly how bad the weather was going to be. Some people lost power, while others were lucky and did not experience a loss of power or the falling tree limbs. I have always been grateful and I try to appreciate everything that has happened in my life. But when things like this happen I can't help but be grateful and thankful that I am still alive. It is very easy to get caught up and consumed in ever-day life, but it is important to "stop and smell the roses" and really appreciate all that is going on.
This was just something that was on my mind, and I just had to share it. Since the weather was bad this weekend, and I didnt have to go into work I had a lot of time to think. And I am appreciative of everything in my life. I might not have lost as much weight as I wanted to, but I am glad that I was able to lose as much as I have already lost. Everything may not be going as you have planned or as you may like, but be thankful for what you have, there are so many that would die for what you have!

"Be grateful" is always a good message!
ReplyDeleteIt really is, I think we all need to remember it as often as possible.
