Can you believe our 12 week challenge is over???? I am still in denial, it seems like just yesterday Kim and I were in the office thinking about what we could do to help get us back on the weight loss bandwagon. Over the course of the last 12 weeks I have not only lost weight but I have gained so much more. One of the main things that I have re-learned is the fact that there are no short cuts around weight loss. I have lost a total of 10 pounds during the challenge which isn't half bad, I will take 10 pounds any day. When I look at myself I don't really see a difference, but looking at the scale and being 10 pounds lighter definitely makes me feel a lot better about myself.
Originally I thought that this would be the answer to all of my weight loss problems, and boy was I wrong. Like most people I was thinking that if I worked super hard during these past 12 weeks, I would wake up today and magically be 50 pounds lighter! (Extreme I know, but its the truth) With all of the information that I know, and all of the research that I have done over the past year, I know that this idea is crazy and unhealthy but to me it was worth a shot. The LOWS that I have experienced during the challenge have made me more motivated to get my act together. Almost every day I look at some of my friends on Facebook, Instagram, MyFitnessPal, and of course on the blogs that I stalk on a daily basis, and I still get the same answer to weight loss: you get out what you put in. This is such a simple solution but yet so many people struggle with it. I have definitely learned a lot through this challenge, and I hope that everyone that participated has too. Once I keep up my cardio regimen I am positive that I will start to see better results.
Kim and I just want to say thank-you for all of the support, and special thanks to everyone that participated, please let us know how you guys did!
let's just say that i lost and gained some over the 12 weeks. so basically i stayed the same.
ReplyDeletei blame this on myself because i didn't truly take it seriously.
i am doing the challenge again. 12 more weeks. and i'm determined to really try this time around.
working out isn't hard for me at all. it is the eating better that is. in a little over 12 weeks i will turn 30 and will celebrate my birthday in Vegas. i hope that will be the push that i need to get to my happy weight.
I would love to meet you in person when you come to Vegas. I live here. Let me know if you want to meet up.
Deletep.s. that is so awesome you lost 10 lbs! you worked hard and it shows!
ReplyDeleteAwwww Faith, thank you!!!! If you need extra motivation just let me know. i'm always up for another challenge. I totally agree on the eating part, I'm still a sucker for sweets.
DeleteI think 10 lbs is a great accomplishment. I had good intentions but got sick in the process and got off track. So I am back on it now because just like Faith my birthday is coming in a few months and I have to look FABULOUS. That is my gift to myself.
ReplyDeleteI love to workout and workout hard but I have issues keeping my healthy eating consistant. :) Once I get that in line I know I can blast through these unwanted pounds.
I agree it is all about being healthy. You did a great job. Now stay focused and keep going. :)
Thanks so much.....once we get the eating together I think we will all be fine!
